Love shouldn’t feel exhausting
What if love felt like …
being able to confide in your partner about your deepest feelings
you get to live this life with your best friend
secure that your partner will listen to you and make you a priority
excited to have sex and physically connect with your partner
even doing mundane things together is connecting
you have a spark in your relationship, you do date nights that light you up and you’re excited about
you can trust your partner to take on their share of the household chores and duties, that you’re an equal team
your partner wants to hear about your feelings and connect with you
Love shouldn’t feel like …
keeping your feelings inside just to keep the peace
feeling alone in your relationship
feeling like no matter what you say they don’t take you seriously unless you’re screaming or crying
living with a roommate
wincing at any touch from your partner because they only touch you when they want to have sex
feeling like you only do date nights when you complain about not doing date nights
feeling like you have to manage every aspect of your relationship and home life just for it to function
fighting for your voice and side to be heard when you’re feelings get hurt
Meet your therapist
Hi, I’m Katie. I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist and owner of Simple Love Counseling.
My passion is working with individuals and couples who are looking to improve their relationships and understand themselves at a deeper level. Most of my clients are people who are feeling like they are in a rut, disconnected, and anxious in life and relationships.
I use therapeutic approaches designed to get to the heart of what’s going on efficiently and quickly and to help people learn skills for secure connection in relationships.

Areas of Focus
I work with both individuals and couples. Marriage and family therapy naturally lends a unique lens to using a systemic approach meaning we explore what makes you “you”. Our environment, how we grew up, and our experiences shape us. We then create our own little environment and patterns with the ones closest to us.
